The #1 solution for System and Data Protection!

Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) Edition

SBAdmin - TSM Edition combines the power of IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (formerly ADSM - Adstar Distributed Storage Manager) with the unsurpassed flexibility of SBAdmin's Adaptable System Recovery (ASR). Now, you can perform a full system backup and complete disaster recovery of your AIX and Linux TSM nodes directly to and from a TSM server.

More than just a Bare-Metal Restore
SBAdmin's flexible bare-metal restore capabilities extend beyond just a system image restore, and can be used for:
--  Installation onto same or completely be dissimilar hardware.
(disk configurations, network and storage adapters, etc)
--  Cloning (provisioning) of multiple nodes from a single "master"
backup (again with same or dissimilar hardware)
--  Migrate to a different software storage configuration (LVM, software RAID
devices, filesystem types, etc) for better performance, availability and expandability

Save Time and Money
There is no longer a need for multi-staged backups. Reading and writing directory to the TSM server means no intermediary disk space usage - saving much time, management tasks, and network bandwidth! SBAdmin support any number of TSM servers at no additional charge! you pay only for the number of TSM client licences you need. And, we provide FREE SUPPORT, including online, phone and even after-hours urgent support!

Choose the Options that Fit Your Needs
The TSM Edition provides an easy-to-use  graphical user (GUI) interface or web-based interface for all management operations, all controlled from a centralized admin system. This admin system may be the Tivoli server itself (if AIX or Linux) or any TSM node. The TSM Edition provides only the features needed to enhance your TSM backups to include Full System Backup and disaster recovery. However, all functions of the popular SBAdmin interface applicable to full system backups are available, such as backup scheduling, monitoring & notificaitons, incremental backups, exclude lists, backup retention policies, and more.

The TSM Support for Network Edition is an optional feature that may be added to a centralized Network Administrator system, adding TSM client (node) and server support to the full range of SBAdmin functions. This feature will enable you to perform any SBAdmin backup type (such as directories, raw logical volumes, volume groups, or even Oracle Databases) to the TSM server. Adding this feature to Network Edition will allow you to backup both TSM nodes and non-TSM nodes to either a TSM server or to other local or remote backup devices (such as disks, tapes or tape libraries) supported by SBAdmin.

Support for Many Hardware Platforms
SBAdmin TSM support is provided for the following operating systems and platforms:
--  Linux - any distribution supported by IBM TSM - Intel 32-bit and 64-bit (IA64),
IBM System p (pSeries), System x (xSeries) and System i (iSeries) servers
--  AIX - Version 5.1 and later on all IBM System p (pSeries) and System i (iSeries) servers
