Storix SBAdmin utilizes the native system drivers and resources to provide maximum flexibility and compatibility. For AIX systems, SBAdmin uses the IBM Atape drivers and recognizes tape drives as an rmt device. For Linux, SBAdmin uses either the kernel st driver or can use the IBMtape drivers. For Solaris, SBAdmin uses the native drivers and recognizes tape drives as rmt/(n) devices.
