Linux is most widely used on the Intel 32-bit (x86) systems, yet no other company provides near the features and flexibility for system backup and recovery than Storix. SBAdmin supports Linux on virtually any Linux distribution which runs on Intel 32-bit systems, AMD64 and EM64T.
Why not just any Linux system? Because SBAdmin is not just about backing up and restoring data. It is the ability to completely rebuild a system from a backup that sets us apart. The flexibility to restore the backup to different hardware requires considerable expertise in the operating system and hardware. Linux/x86 system use BIOS firmware and LILO or GRUB bootloaders. SBAdmin is capable of understanding the system firmware and boot configuration required in order to make bootable media capable of rebuilding the system from bare metal!
While SBAdmin is a backup management product with advanced features for managing your user data backups, SBAdmin is the leader in Adaptable System Recovery (ASR) . This is the process to be able to restore the entire system (operating system and user data) onto different hardware and disk configurations.
SBAdmin will rebuild and restore your entire system. Every detail, including the disk placement of partitions, logical volumes (LVM1 & LVM2) and RAID devices, filesystem types and attributes is retained. You can then change the configuration when reinstalling from a system backup to install onto different hardware or migrate to a different software storage configuration to increase flexibility, performance and availability!
