Typically, installing an operating system consists of answering numerous questions and inserting multiple CD's into the drive. This becomes inefficient when your answers to the questions are the same everytime and you have to keep checking to see if it is time to insert a new disc. Now multiply that by the number of systems you wish to provision.
SBAdmin makes cloning and provisioning easy and significantly saves time by allowing you to take a full system backup of an AIX, Linux, or Solaris system and use that backup to replicate it onto other systems. By using SBAdmin's Adaptable System Recovery (ASR), you will also be able to clone the system onto same or dissimilar hardware.
Advanced Provisioning/Cloning Features
- Provision multiple systems simultaneously
- Clone onto same or dissimilar hardware
- Reconfigure network settings to avoid conflicts
- Clone over the network or from a local device
- No-prompt installation requiring no intervention
